以前听过动物园的动物逃跑到外面，但这次，动物园的动物居然被绑架了。在美国旧金山动物园就通报警方一起狐猴被偷走案件，这只被偷走的狐猴是只21岁的马基 (Maki) ，因为患有关节炎，年纪又大了，所以非常需要照顾，而且狐猴是濒临绝种的动物，动物园为了找回这只狐猴，还提出了悬赏，只要找到牠的人，就可以获得2100美元 (约6万台币)的奖金。

隔天，在距离动物园8公里远的路德教会日间学校，一名五岁小男孩詹姆斯·特林（James Trinh）幼稚园的停车场发现了狐猴的身影，他便大喊著：「有狐猴！有狐猴！」，一开始大人们还以为是误认成浣熊，没想到仔细一看真的是狐猴，他们便赶紧拿起手机通报相关单位，狐猴马基还吓得躲了起来，最后动保单位成功的将马基带回了园区，检查后发现他有饥饿跟脱水的现象。

后来警方也查到了偷走马基的嫌犯，是一名30岁住在洛杉矶的男子科里·麦吉洛威 (Cory McGilloway) 他因为其他的案子被警方逮捕，在警察检查手机时发现里面有狐猴的照片，才发现他就是动物大盗。幸好这名机警的5岁小男孩及时发现了狐猴的身影，才让动物被绑架的事件可以落幕，动物园也提供了路德教会日间学校2100美金的奖金，并且给予特林与他的家人终身动物园会员资格。
